The making of itThe story behind the piece, and why we chose it
Why we chose this
We chose the Comodo because it gives dogs a defined, padded space to settle into, in a durable artisan-made fabric that holds up wash after wash, and it fills the one gap left in our MiaCara cat-led range: a genuine dog bed.

The Comodo's inner liner is a cotton-blend fabric, 60% cotton and 40% polyester, wrapped around a 100% polyurethane foam mattress and side bolsters. The foam is dimensionally stable, hypoallergenic and permanently elastic, so it keeps its shape over time rather than flattening. The removable outer cover is 100% polyester, made by an artisan Italian manufacturer, in Greige, Sage or Chocolate.

CareCleaning and everyday care
Inner cushion (sides): machine washable on a gentle 60°C cycle. Use a mild detergent and avoid chlorinated or chemically aggressive products. A slight browning of the foam over time does not affect its quality. Spin, then air-dry on a rack; a 60°C tumble dry is fine, but avoid over-drying, and plump the cushion regularly to keep its shape.
Mattress: wash on a gentle 30°C cycle with a mild detergent, avoiding chlorinated or chemically aggressive products, which can damage the foam when drying. Spin, then air-dry on a rack; a 60°C tumble dry is also fine.
Cover: washable at 30°C, or dry clean. Air-dry on a rack, and iron on a low setting only if needed. Between washes, dog hair brushes or vacuums out easily with an upholstery attachment.
