Introducing cub & grey
At Cub & Grey, exceptional craftsmanship is more than just a tradition; it’s a commitment to pieces that actually last. We focus on the quiet intersection of heritage and home, creating objects that honor a refined aesthetic while meeting the very specific physical needs of your companion.
Founded in a Worcestershire cottage workshop Cub & Grey was born from a deep-seated obsession with the elegance and form of sighthounds. Inspired by her own whippet and co-founder, Mallory, Liv stepped away from mass-produced alternatives to build a brand where old-world British heritage and modern luxury live side-by-side.
Every piece is a dialogue between traditional British saddlery and contemporary design. Individually handcrafted to order in an 18th-century workshop, our collars are designed to feel like a "second skin", supple enough for the most sensitive necks, yet robust enough for a lifetime of adventures.
The materials we choose tell their own story of British excellence: world-renowned Sedgwick 1900 bridle leather paired with solid brass from a Royal Warrant-holding foundry. These aren't just accessories; they are heritage investments that develop a unique patina over time, growing more characterful with every mile you walk together.

THE CUB & GREY HERITAGE

British Craftsmanship & Refinement
Cub & Grey represents a return to a more deliberate way of making things. Based in an 18th-century cottage workshop in Worcestershire, founder Liv hand-stitches every piece alongside her muse, a whippet named Mallory. This is not an assembly line process. Instead, it is a bench-made tradition where individual attention is given to every single buckle and strap.
The materials chosen for these collections are among the finest in the world. Liv exclusively uses Sedgwick 1900 bridle leather, a material prized for its deep color and remarkable strength. While it is robust enough to last for years, it has a unique suppleness that feels like a second skin against the dog's neck. This makes it particularly suited for sighthounds and other breeds with sensitive skin. Each piece is finished with solid British brass hardware from a foundry that holds a Royal Warrant, ensuring every component meets the highest possible standards.
What truly sets Cub & Grey apart is the meticulous level of finish. Every edge is hand-burnished using Gum Tragacanth to create a smooth, professional luster that protects the leather and defines its silhouette. These are not just functional accessories; they are stylish investment pieces designed to age beautifully. Over time, the leather will develop a rich patina that reflects a life well-lived, becoming more characterful with every mile walked.
