There is something quietly satisfying about watching a small dog settle into a meal from a bowl that belongs in the room as much as any other considered object on a kitchen shelf. Each bowl is thrown by hand on a potter's wheel in Derbyshire by a designer who spent years at Denby Pottery before founding Wirksworth Pottery in the Peak District. The stoneware clay is shaped, glazed, and fired individually, and the high-gloss, food-safe glaze gives the finished piece a depth of tone that shifts subtly across the surface depending on the light. Available in seven colours, from Woad Navy Blue to Peony Pink to Monarch Orange, every bowl carries the marks of the hand that made it.
The weighted base keeps the bowl steady even for the most eager of feeders, and the chip-resistant stoneware is built to last years of daily use. It is dishwasher safe, plastic-free, and non-toxic.
