Each lead is hand-spliced by Laura in her Oxfordshire studio, working in small batches with chunky marine-grade rope chosen for its strength, its softness against a dog's coat, and the way it holds a splice cleanly over years of use. The slip loop moves freely and seats gently, putting no harsh point of pressure on the neck, just a calm, even contact that experienced handlers have relied on for decades.
Marine rope is built to outlast far harsher conditions than a morning walk, and Laura's splices are finished with the kind of care that means no fraying, no unravelling, no replacing it next season.
