The first walk is a moment you will both remember. A young dog, nose down and tail up, discovering the world one sniff at a time, and you holding the other end of something that feels as considered as the occasion deserves.
Each lead is hand-spliced by Laura in her Oxfordshire studio, working in small batches with marine-grade rope chosen for its soft hand-feel against a puppy's still-forming neck. The splice, a traditional technique that replaces knots and hardware with a seamless loop woven into the rope itself, creates a connection point with no sharp edges and no weak spots.
Because the loop tightens only with forward pull and releases the moment a puppy settles, there is a natural, gentle communication built into the design. Rope of this construction resists fraying and holds its structure through repeated use, meaning this lead can follow your dog from first outing to fully grown.
