There is something quietly joyful about a dog that wears their collar well: the way it sits just right against their fur, bright and salt-bleached in tone, as though they have always belonged somewhere near the sea. The Bahamas collar from Oonalfie is that collar, the one that turns heads on the morning walk and feels like it was made for exactly this dog.
Laura hand-splices each collar in her Oxfordshire studio using a technique traditionally reserved for sailing rigging, working marine-grade rope into a form that is both sculpted and strong. Every splice is finished by hand, which means no two collars are quite identical, and the result has the kind of honest, considered craft that no machine production line can replicate.
Marine-grade rope is built to withstand saltwater, UV exposure, and constant tension, so it holds its colour and structure through seasons of daily wear, muddy fields, and coastal swims. Because Laura works in small batches, Orders are typically dispatched within 8-10 days.
