The Story
There is a moment, usually in a newly renovated bathroom or a carefully arranged utility room, when you realise the litter tray is the one thing that refuses to belong. The Sito was designed for exactly that moment: the point where a cat owner looks at an otherwise considered space and decides something has to change.
Designed by Belgian designer Mathias de Ferm for MiaCara, the Sito is built from powder-coated aluminium, finished in either White or Black to sit alongside contemporary cabinetry without apology. It won the German Design Award not for aesthetics alone, but for the intelligence of its engineering: a perforated top panel that ventilates without broadcasting odour, a swing-front door for unhurried access, and a removable insert tray that lifts cleanly away for maintenance.
The raised footprint keeps litter tracking to a minimum and the cabinet's clean lines hold their own against bathroom furniture year after year, aluminium being as resistant to bathroom humidity as it is to everyday wear.
