Designed for MiaCara by Belgian designer Mathias De Ferm and crafted in small batches, the Perla is hand-braided from a tightly wound, UV-stable rope that holds its shape and colour without fading, indoors or out. The high-resilience foam cushion beneath is dense enough to offer genuine orthopedic-style support, not just a gesture at softness, making it as considered for your cat's body as it is for your home.
Both the cushion and its cover are fully machine washable, so the bed works as hard in a busy household as it looks beautiful in a still one. Available in Natural and Anthracite, the most popular colourways regularly sell out between restocks, making early decisions worthwhile.

What is the Perla Cat Cave Bed made from?
The Perla is offered in two construction options. The Anthracite version is hand-braided from a specialist high-density rope yarn engineered for UV lightfastness and resistance to stains and bacteria, keeping its colour and integrity whether placed in a sunlit room or on a sheltered terrace. The Natural version is hand-woven from natural rattan, an organic plant fibre that brings warmth and texture to interior settings; rattan is best suited to indoor use and away from direct moisture.
Both versions share a removable cushion filled with high-resilience foam that maintains its loft and support over time, covered in a fabric chosen to be gentle against fur. The cushion cover and inner liner are both removable and machine washable.
How do I clean and care for the Perla Cat Cave Bed?
Remove the cushion cover and wash separately on a gentle machine cycle. The foam cushion insert can also be machine washed; allow both to air dry fully before reassembling. The braided rope structure can be spot cleaned with a damp cloth and mild detergent as needed.
