Why cats need height
A flat platform suits cats who prefer a stable surface over a curve, and the full-length cushion gives them room to stretch out. Elevated resting places are a recognised enrichment factor for indoor cats. The warm-wood frame reads as a piece of built-in furniture rather than a cat product, which makes it easier to place in rooms where design matters.

The making of itThe story behind the piece, and why we chose it
Cats do not simply sit, they survey. Watch yours claim the highest point in the room, settle into a perch above the chaos of the day, and tuck a paw beneath their chin with the quiet satisfaction of something perfectly placed. The Cozy Nook gives them exactly that, a spot that is theirs, elevated and apart.
Each shelf is handcrafted to order in Poland by Cat's Atelier, using pine wood. The construction is precise and considered, with smooth-routed edges that are kind to curious paws and a surface that invites a cat to return again and again.
Because every piece is made to order, yours will arrive fresh from the workshop rather than a warehouse shelf. With sensible care it will last for years of daily use.
Why we chose this
Cat's Atelier makes each shelf by hand in small batches from materials, and the result is a wall perch that looks considered rather than bolted on as an afterthought.

How to Plan Your Cat's Climbing Route
A single shelf is a good start. A proper route, one your cat climbs from the floor with confidence, only needs a few planning basics.
- Start from the floor. The most reliable route needs no furniture at all: a short run of steps leading up to a perch works in every room, for every cat.
- Think in three bands — a low launch point up to about half a metre, a middle climbing band up to around a metre and a half, and a high vantage perch above that with a clear view.
- Space each step around 20 to 30cm apart, so every move is an easy step rather than a jump.
- Just don't stack steps directly on top of one another. Beyond that, arrange them however suits your wall, diagonally, in a diamond, a triangle, or staggered from side to side.
- Most rooms need three to five pieces to build a comfortable floor-to-perch route.
- A window is a popular spot for a shelf, giving your cat the view and the natural light to watch the room from.
- Two cats, two routes. Where space allows, give each cat its own way up rather than one shared route with a single pinch point.
- Easy to fix. Every piece comes with concealed fixings and full fittings, and mounts securely to masonry or a plasterboard wall with studs.
